An Organization Dedicated To Supporting Local Pets In Finding New Homes
Responsible Pet Owner,
Thank you for considering our placement service to get your pet a new home. We are a pro-quality-life organization that believes animals have the right to find a home they are happy in. Some animals are afraid of kids, some lonely because their owners work too much, some families are getting divorced and some animals don't like their fellow animals, or human roommates. "The Animal Network's" fee for service pet promotion and placement service is a good choice for people who love their pets and want to avoid the uncertainty of the shelter system.
"The Animal Network" places private party (pre-loved pets) and rescue dogs and cats into new homes. Animals needing placement may be seen on our website adoption page and at our "Pets in Public" events.
To begin the process, we ask you to list your pet with us for a one-time fee. Dogs are a one-time $50.00 listing fee and Cats are a one-time $75.00 listing fee that may include a FELv & FIV viral test.
Your one-time listing fee gives you the opportunity to schedule your dog or cat at our weekend adoption events, a complimentary pet web photo listing and our help in marketing and promoting your animal in our "Pet Of the Week". However, most all animals are seen ans adopted into new homes from our weekend public adoption events.
Step 1: PROOF OF CURRENT VACCINES: Make a copy of your current vaccination records. (current is within the last 3 years) If you own a cat and your vaccination records are not within the last three years, we can vaccinate your cat for a small $10.00 fee.
Step 2: WRITE A "PET SUMMARY" and mail it with your listing fee. This is the most important thing to ease the transition of your pet into a new home. HOW TO WRITE A PET SUMMARY: It should begin with the name of your pet and its' color, breed, age, sex, spayed/neutered, current food, and favorite toys. Then explain what type of home you think would be best for your pet (ie. single animal household, kids, no kids, older kids, adult home, work from home professional, etc.) and why you believe you need a new home for your pet.
Step 3: LIST YOUR PET: Make a $50.00 check out to "Animal Network" Write the name of your pet, color, sex, and age in the memo section of your check. Mail your $50.00 check along with "pet summary" to: Animal Network, P.O. Box 8662, Newport Beach, CA 92658 (Make sure your phone number and address are current on your check.)
Step 4: SCHEDULE YOUR PET. Call DiAnna to schedule your weekend adoption event by Wednesday of each week. Cancellations are accepted up to Friday at noon. After noon on Friday there is a $25.00 cancellation charge. A cage space at adoption will be yours with your reservation.
Thank You For Taking The Time To Do The Right Thing!

How to List Your Pre-Loved Pet For Adoption
Step 1. Make a commitment to your pet to become actively involved and participate in our "pets in public program" This means you will be bringing your dog or cat to our weekend adoption events. Dog owners must stay and handle the dog and cat owners may have your animal stay for the hours of adoption which is 12:00 - 4:00 Saturdays and Sundays. We have a 100% adoption rate with your participation at our public events.
Step 2. Get a copy of your animals records from your vet identifying shots are current and the animal is spayed or neutered. (this must accompany your pet's listing fee) We support the American Association of Feline Practitioners and Others that suggest a (3) three year vaccination protocol. If your cat needs vaccines we can arrange it at a reasonable rate.
Step 3. Request the listing information be sent to you by e-mail or FAX. Listing fees are paid by Visa /MasterCard. A Fifty Dollar Listing Fee ($ 50.00) is Accepted For Dogs and A Seventy-Five Dollar ($75.00) Listing Fee is Accepted For Cats* (Cats: may include a FELv & FIV blood test).)
Step 4. Please return the signed listing information by FAX prior to Wednesday. After we have received your listing confirmation and payment by Cheque, Visa or MasterCard you become eligible to attend an upcoming weekend adoption event and have numerous opportunities to market your animal for as long as it takes to get it adopted through showing your non-aggressive animal at our weekend adoption event at Fashion Island Shopping Center in Newport Beach, California.
Step 5. AFTER you have listed your pet by signing the listing information, paying the fee and confirming the weekend adoption event schedule. Please e-mail your "pet facts" and "pet summary" to firstname.lastname@example.org
PET FACTS: Name, age, sex, spayed/neutered, temperament, special attributes and the type of home that would be best and why you need to find a new home for your pet. (ex. Cat, Peaches, spayed female, 4 years old. Gets along with a dog, needs an indoor home with no other cats. OR Dog, Sarge, 9 years old, male, neutered, will pay vet bills up to $300.00 if my pet becomes sick in old age. Best with older kids in the family. Well trained.)
** YOU ALSO MAY MAIL US BACK THE INFORMATION: Return your required signed listing information, listing fee along with a copy of any vet records and your handwritten pet summary / Bio & description to: "The Animal Network Of Orange County", Post Office Box 8662, Newport Beach, California, 92658.
What Happens After I Pay The Listing Fee?
When the Network receives your listing materials via SNAIL MAIL or FAX, your animal will be scheduled for an adoption weekend and a cage space will be reserved for your pet. Please disclose "pet facts" (single pet household, likes dogs/cats, good with kids) and don't forget to disclose any medical conditions or behaviors (for example: unhappy living with other animals will wee-wee outside of box or, Dogs: does not like kids, could nip) We need this very important information to find just the right home for your animal. We will discuss the needs of your pet with potential "new pet guardians".
The new pet guardian selects a "God Parent" or "nearest relative" that if needed, will safeguard your pet until the animal could be placed in another home. The new "pet guardian" is informed of the services of "The Animal Network of Orange County" if needed.
A placement fee is accepted by "The Animal Network" from the "new" pet guardian. The new pet guardian receives a certificate for "complimentary" health exam from All Creatures Care Cottage in Costa Mesa and a discounts from five local veterinarians. We Support Microchip Pet Recovery Systems. Because we care about all the animals, animals adopted through Animal Network will leave with a microchip ID implanted. It is a painless non-surgical implant!
